Come and have some fun! The 3-mile course is designed for beginners and walkers. The trail is mostly level and wide with only a few short inclines. Helpers and parents with youth are allowed ONLY on the 3-mile course and contestants with helpers will not be eligible for awards.

The 6-mile course is a combination of two-track, cow trail, and single-track, on the Black Canyon Trail. This run has some steep, rocky hills to navigate with your burro partner. The views are wonderful, so take a moment to enjoy them! Boots for your burro are recommended, but not required. Packsaddles are recommended, but not required. You should carry your own water as there is only one aid station.

The 9-mile course is a combination of two-track, cow trail, and single track, on the multi-use Black Canyon Trail. The trail has sections up and down the beautiful Black Canyon. The canyon is rocky and very technical. It will require a true partnership between burro and humans. Please slow down and keep your partner safe. Passing opportunities are limited and we are sharing the trail with others. Please be kind, courteous, and friendly. We want to be good burro ambassadors. Packsaddle, pick, pan, and shovel will be required on the 9-mile run. Boots for your burro are recommended but not required. Please bring water and a cell phone.
